Day 7 - Thu 24 Sep 2015

MACAU Sheraton

The day started with a fun breakfast. The kids enjoyed the characters and food, and we enjoyed the food. All different types of food and some Dreamswork themed. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast. Kobe and Charli had lots of photos, and Ashton watched from a distance.

After breakfast we wanted to go to the Panda pavilion which was a couple of kilometers down the road. We attempted to get a taxi but we couldn't all get in one taxi so we walked down to the bus stop. Directly across the road from the bus stop was the Studio City hotel which was opening in about a month, and also the under construction Paris Hotel with an Eiffel Tower out the front. After waiting a few minutes, we decided we would just take 2 taxis. We went back to catch a taxi and that person was happy to squeeze us all in the taxi. We went down the road and wandered to the Pandas. We stopped and had Ice Cream. Nothing better than an Ice Cream in this hot weather. We got tickets and then got to see Pandas in person.

We got a taxi back to the hotel and had McDonalds for lunch. After that we went back to the room. Ashton had a sleep, and Charli, Kobe and I went down to the pool to have a swim.

We had bought tickets previously to see The House of Dancing Water. The show cost $250 million to create and the central round stage went from being a pool of water, to a stage that people can walk on, to a ship or building coming out of the water. People under 3 years old couldn't attend, so tickets were purchased for Renee, Charli and Kobe. We walked down to the Crown Towers hotel, and dropped Renee, Charli and Kobe off so they could see the show. Tickets were for a 5pm performance so Ashton and I got to cruise around and explore. We went back to the Venetian Hotel and found the restuarant we wanted to go to for Tea. We made a booking for after the show.

I went back to the casino and picked up Renee and the kids after the show. Everyone loved it. We walked back to the restaurant at the Venetian we had made a booking for. It was called The Golden Peacock. A Michelin Hat Indian restaurant. A little bit fancier that what we would normally do, but the kids love Indian so made for a great experience. They cooked up a special mild curry just for the kids. After tea it was straight back to our hotel for sleep. We fly tomorrow to Singapore.
