SINGAPORE Marina Bay Sands
We had breakfast the next morning, and checked out of the hotel. While we were in Singapore 3 days, i wanted to stay at and swim at Marina Bay Sands. We got a taxi with our luggage down to the Marina Bay Sands and checked in. Our Hotel was a family room. We normally wouldn't stay at somewhere this expensive but it was a one off, and the reason we were there for only a single day. When we booked the room there was an error in the booking where the tax wasn't calculated correctly. I knew this and booked it. They tried to charge me the correct full amount, but i pointed out their error and upon realising it, honoured the price i booked at. I had to laugh at this, as this is my job to find errors like this in software applications.
We met up with the Marders again, and walked across to the shops. We wandered around and ended up having lunch at the DC Comics Cafe. Everyone needs to eat a black bun burger with a Batman symbol on the bun.
After lunch we returned to the hotel, and went for a swim. The pool is on the roof in the shape of a ship resting on 3 towers. It has a fallaway edge overlooking Singapore Bay.
We met up again with the Marders and went to Gardens By The Bay, and watched the light and music show. In the park was McDonalds, and everyone had that. After the light show, we returned to the hotel room. Our room was huge, so we put Ashton to sleep in one end, and we sat and had a drink and the other kids played. Wasn't a late night, but good to sit and have a drink. The Marders returned to their hotel, and we went to sleep, ready for Legoland tomorrow.
